GDPR Privacy Notice

1. Scope

This GDPR Privacy Notice supplements the Privacy Policy for users in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with similar data-protection rights. GoofBot is operated from the United States but is intended to be usable by global Discord communities without region-locking.

2. Controller

The final legal operator name, mailing address, privacy contact, and any required EU/UK representative are pending legal review and will be filled in before this notice is finalized. Until then, data-protection questions can be sent to [email protected] or raised in the official GoofBot Discord at https://discord.gg/ZWJ7VSYWYX.

3. Personal data covered

GoofBot may process Discord IDs, guild IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, Twitch account links, encrypted OAuth tokens, opt-in message logs, opt-in Twitch chat logs, points and XP balances, tickets and transcripts, custom commands, dashboard settings, birthdays stored as month/day only, and audit logs. The main Privacy Policy lists these categories in more detail.

4. Lawful bases

Depending on the feature, GoofBot relies on performance of contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation. Consent-based features include optional message logging, optional Twitch chat logging, and optional birthday tracking. You can withdraw consent by disabling the feature where available, asking a server administrator to disable it, unlinking your account, or submitting a data request.

5. Your rights

You may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent for consent-based processing. Some requests may be limited where data is needed for security, abuse prevention, moderation records, tax/accounting records, or other legal obligations.

6. Data exports

The dashboard and /data command provide a first-pass export of data tied to your Discord user ID, including user-entered settings, linked accounts, points, XP, tickets, and message-log rows where your user ID is the author. Broader requests can be submitted through the contact method listed in the Privacy Policy once finalized.

7. International transfers

GoofBot is US-operated and uses subprocessors such as Discord, Twitch, Hostinger, and Cloudflare. Those services may process data globally. Where required, transfers should rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, processor terms, or equivalent legal mechanisms provided by those subprocessors.

8. Complaints

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you may complain to your local data-protection authority. We ask that you contact us first when possible so we can try to resolve the issue directly.

9. Changes

Material changes will be announced on the dashboard and reflected by the version and last-updated date at the top of this page.
